We analyzed the major smartphone brands available on Amazon and Walmart. 

Here’s what we learned about the popular smartphone brands on Amazon.

The graph above shows that Amazon has more of Samsung’s smartphones than any other brand. 

It’s interesting to note that the number of Samsung smartphones on sale on Amazon is much higher than that of the second-highest listed phone, Motorola.

This shows that Samsung has a strong presence and a wide selection. It is also very popular and well-represented on Amazon.

Just like on Amazon, Samsung has the most products listed on Walmart, with 494 items. Motorola also has a strong presence, with 393 products.

Understanding how prices differ in different platforms is very important when comparing products sold on multiple platforms.

The average price of smartphones on Amazon is $375.89, while on Walmart, it is $212.75. This shows that, on average, Amazon products are more expensive than those of Walmart.

Which are the Most Reviewed Smartphone Brands on Amazon?

We looked at the smartphone brands with the highest number of reviews on Amazon.

As seen earlier, Samsung and Motorola are the most listed smartphones on Amazon, and them receiving the most reviews is an expected trend.

However, interestingly, OnePlus, which was among the top five most listed smartphones on Amazon, is not on this list of the top five most reviewed brands. 

Now, let us try to understand the sentiment behind these reviews.  

How Do Customers Feel About the Most Reviewed Smartphones on Amazon?

Among the smartphone brands on Amazon, Google has the highest positive sentiment at 76.86% and the lowest neutral sentiment at 10.99%, indicating very strong customer satisfaction. 

LG also has a high positive sentiment at 74.85 %, even though it has a higher negative sentiment at 14.00%. 

Apple has a slightly lower negative sentiment. 

Overall, Google stands out as the most positively reviewed brand.

On Walmart, Samsung tops the list of most reviewed smartphone brands with 132319 reviews. Apple follows with 59983 reviews.

Just like the case with Amazon, among the smartphone brands on Walmart, Google’s smartphones have the highest positive sentiment, at 85.48%.

Samsung follows with a positive sentiment of 79.10%. 

Apple and Motorola also have high positive sentiment at 67.93%  and 69.74% respectively. 

Overall, Samsung and Google are the most positively viewed brands, while TCL has the highest neutral sentiment at 18.07% and the highest negative sentiment at 21.

Since 2019, it has remained above 10% until 2024, when it came down to 9.76%, the lowest in five years. 

However, the number of people who left a neutral response about smartphones on Amazon has increased over the years and reached its highest point in 2024, at 28.5%.
