A new type of Hospitality
Perhaps no industry has been hit hard as much by the pandemic as tourism. There is so much uncertainty for citizens who may want to know about travel. For a certain amount of time, hospitality will be faceless and encourage social distancing while travelers can expect to see cleanliness and housekeeping front and enter in hotels.
Despite the implications Covid-19 has on social interactions and activities, people are still looking to experience new things. Those willing to go out there might still be craving the personal attention and special care that hospitality is known for. Airbnb has created a significant impact on these hotel chains. Airbnb’s ability to provide more affordable accommodations is advantageous for customers, but not so much for branded hotels.
The travel industry is becoming more data driven. Online booking sites have made it easier for travelers to look up room tariffs from multiple hotels before selecting a hotel. Gathering data from Booking.com can help hotel chains to dynamically change prices depending on traveler interest. Similarly, scraping TripAdvisor for hotel prices too can help gather valuable hotel data.
The ScrapeHero Data Store tracks store closures and openings, that focuses on supermarket stores, discount stores, department stores, and healthcare. You can subscribe to our store data plans and get datasets with data points such as store openings, store closures, parking availability, in-store pickup option, services, subsidiaries, nearest competitor stores, and much more.
